Environmental 教育 Concentration

A concentration in Environmental 教育 requires foundational coursework in environmental studies 和 advanced coursework on the theories 和 practices of teaching 和 learning as they inform anti-oppressive educational practices. This concentration is ideal for students interested in both formal (e.g., classroom) 和 informal (e.g., outdoor education) environmental 和 sustainability education 和 related graduate-level studies. Through a holistic inquiry approach that includes mindful connection with nature, 批判性分析, 和 community engagement, students in this concentration examine the central position educational systems occupy in promoting a sustainable worldview. The advanced re搜索 course must be informed by coursework in the concentration 和 the internship experience. Additional coursework is required for teacher licensure.
